Tax Receipt 3 Simple Steps to Get a Tax Deduction After you donate, claim your tax deduction by following these 3 simple steps: 1. Keep the receipt that we will leave at your door the day of your pickup. 2. Keep a list of the items you donated. 3. Estimate the value of your donations. Tax Exempt Status Operation FINALLY HOME is a registered tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code. Federal tax regulations state that any donations of property, or cash contributions, to Operation FINALLY HOME are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Generally, contributions are deductible as Charitable Contributions on Schedule A to Form 1040 if you itemize deductions.
